Calling for a debate on the work of the NCCA. Th Calling for a debate on the work of the NCCA.

Their recent report on the consultation on the draft social personal and health education curriculum for schools tries to reflect the various opinions expressed by parents, some of whom are concerned about the direction of relationship and sexuality education and who are keen to see respect for the ethos of individual schools, their characteristic spirit and so on.

We need a debate in this country about whether in fact parents are to be respected as the primary educators. We need to hear from the NCCA on this and we also need to hear from the Minister for Education.

During the week I called on the Minister for Healt During the week I called on the Minister for Health not to recklessly make telemedicine abortion permanent but to immediately instigate a comprehensive investigation into the operation and impact of such abortion appointments in Ireland to date.

The very least we could do in this House is to have a serious discussion about something so potentially far-reaching. You can watch back my contribution on facebook.com/senatormullen

Three weeks ago, I asked the Minister for Health a Three weeks ago, I asked the Minister for Health about the precise legal situation relating to the restrictions on public worship. I still have received no response whatsoever

I wonder what this says about the way the organs and apparatus of State are treating not just the public, but public representatives, who have a job to ask questions on behalf of the public.

We have all since discovered that the Government moved quickly and silently to change these restrictions so as to ensure that such public worship, the organisation of or attendance at which, is actually an offence. It did that without telling anybody publicly that it was doing so, mending its hand, it would seem, in the context of a court case that we all know is ongoing.
