Have your say. Register to vote before it’s too late

Posted by: adminrm1 14 Apr 2014
Speaking from a meeting in Dundalk on Saturday night last, Senator Ronan Mullen has encouraged members of the public who are not already registered to vote in the forthcoming elections to apply to be on the Supplementary Register of Electors before the deadline of 6th May next.
He said members of the public can check whether they are on the voting register by simply logging on to www.checktheregister.ie or visiting their local City or County Council Offices.  For those who are not registered, they can complete supplementary application forms available from local councils, Garda stations, libraries post offices or online
“It’s important that people make their voices heard at election-time. Exercising your right to vote is essential for the healthy working of our democracy – a fact that can sometimes be forgotten”, Senator Mullen concluded.
